I’ve spent my life behind the chair as a master barber, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that most men’s grooming products are junk. I got tired of watching my clients use products packed with cheap fillers and harsh chemicals that irritate the skin and weaken the hair. I knew there was a better way, so I went back to the basics.

Vern’s started as an idea when I was a teenager with a five-pound brick of beeswax and a lot of trial and error in my parents’ kitchen. What began as curiosity turned into obsession, crafting formulas the old-fashioned way, by hand, one batch at a time.

Today, in my shop in Saratoga Springs, every Vern’s product is made in the USA in small batches using carefully sourced, high-quality ingredients. No outsourcing. No mass production. No shortcuts. Just honest American craftsmanship built on skill, experience, and pride in the work.
